New York Vacation- Chestertown

Our view from the condo!
Swimming out to the raft at Schroon Lake. Followed by deliciously scrumptious crepes in town!
Taking a paddle ride on Tripp Lake.

I hear what you're saying, Grampa, but I think this is a fine place for me.
Umm, our low point of the trip- heat wave!
Nope, not chocolate- mud.
Happy Birthday, Matt- date night to Friends Lake Inn. While Gigi and Grampa babysat in the heat wave, we enjoyed some fine wine in the air conditioning!
Couldn't keep this one out of the water!
"Quinn's toy"
Hiking with Sarina at Pack Forest.
A wild game of ring-around-the-rosie with Sarina.
Okay, listen up guys...
Reading time with Auntie Beth and Sarina.
There really ARE fish!!!!! Not to pat my own back, but I was the only one to catch a bass!!!
Magic Forest - not quite sure how to put it into words. How about another picture to explain:
Still not clear? This should do it:
You got it, right?
Saratoga races! Daddy was the only big winner all day!
Saratoga pretzels!
So Poppy, there are horses, gates, and jockeys. Try to keep up.
food = happy baby = happy parents = happy big sister
I'M facing the wrong way?! YOU are facing the wrong way- all the people are this way!
After the races Avery was all about a pony ride but got cold feet!
"I'm floating!"
Action shot of Poppy the crocodile!
On our way home we visited Uncle David in Burlington, VT for the weekend!

July 4th in Rhode Island

Pretty.
Wiped out from eating beach sand.
Oh Paigey, you're hysterical.
Our daily ritual- biking to the boats.
And our other ritual, ice cream cones from Nana.
Poppy's an expert on fish.
No, don't leave me here! I promise I won't eat anymore sand!
Evening beach walk with Nana and Sarina.
I'm just going to put my feet in, swear.
Water bazookas at the boat launch.
Hee hee hee!
Yep, more ice cream cones.

Gigi's Glasses

Summer is here!!!

Testing Daddy.
This mulch ain't gonna move itself.

Bye-bye baby food!

So I no longer (nor did I ever really) enjoy baby food. Who wants to eat mush? I now enjoy any food I can hold and eat myself. Mom was a little nervous about choking at first but after some research and a little extra push from me I wore her down and she's all for it. ("baby-led weaning")
Enjoying a nectarine (and no one was complaining that I sat the WHOLE dinner and ate myself).
Canteloupe- a favorite.
Broccoli?! What the ?! Fine, I'll try anything once. Mom did stop feeding me weird, homemade baby mush after all.
Oh yeah, broccoli's good.
Other favorites are pears, apples, squash, sweet potatoes, avocados, bananas, tofu, zucchini. All the stuff I wouldn't eat in mush form.
All kidding aside, this way is SOOO much better and totally fun! Bye-bye freezer cubes!

Quick trip to RI with Nana and Poppy (poor Dad had to stay at home and work- boo!)

This is why I come here. Back off my cone, man.
Sitting in bubbles.
Woah! These bubbles are crazy!
Crazy, or....the best thing ever!!!!!!
Quinn, you're really missing out!
Mom, wait for me! (good old boat launch)
So Poppy, what do you think about all those snails- cool, huh?
Who needs a radio?

Fun (?) in the Laundry Basket

We are so cute and sweet in the laundry basket together.
Hee hee hee, I have an idea!
Yes, this will be perfect. Come with me.
It's more fun than I thought!!! (Mom, why aren't you doing anything?!)
Don't worry, you like this.
Trust me, I know what's good for you. You like this.

Cape Cod Memorial Day 2011

"The Cape House"
Enjoying the beach with Crosby.
The most convenient playground in the world- one block from "The Cape House"- easily relieves symptoms of Cape-House-itus.
Not to be left out of the fun.
I'm beginning to think this fishing thing is a hoax.
Gigi manning the cabana. Notice the double fisted wine, hmm...
Early stages of Cape-House-itus.
Backyard, pre-bedtime swinging.
Kisses from Dad.
The Cape House provides live musical entertainment.
Ice cream- another conveniently located establishment.
Go veterans!

There is no better feeling than seeing your children have fun.
