What I've been up to lately...

Spring time is finally here! Here I am in my sun dome out in the yard with mom while dad does the yard work. What a beautiful weekend!

My bumbo is growing on me. I hang out here during dinner time on the table so I can see what's going on. I prefer to be walked around still though.

Notes from mom and dad

Avery is almost three months old now and time has flown. Parenthood is most amazing and special. Who knew what a couple of smiles could do? She is learning new things every day. She loves to be held and talked to and she has been working hard at finding her voice (when she does it makes your heart melt). Her favorite past times are looking at pictures on the walls and in books and magazines, play mats with lots of colors, taking walks outside, listening to mom sing and dance around, and her most favorite toys are mom and dad.

I have one month left before I go back to work. Although I am dreading May 4th, I am so thankful for this time with her and think of the many moms and babies who don't get this time. We are thankful for our parents who have graciously agreed to watch Avery the first couple of months I go back and we are thankful that I have a job to go back to in these difficult times.

Field Trip- Mystic Aquarium!!!

On the way home from Rhode Island I stopped at the Mystic Aquarium with Sarina, Uncle Bryan and Auntie Beth. I slept the whole time but I hear it was fun.

I love the camera- can you tell? Haha...not really, I made Meredith work for these. She came over and took pictures of me and Paige- it was so much fun!

Busy times....

I am awake more often and for longer nowadays. I can check out the cool things on my play mat, (it gets boring pretty quickly), I started using a bottle so Dad can feed me once in a while, I dressed up for Valentine's Day in my new outfit from Gigi, Mom's friend Dara came to visit, and my friend Eleanor came over too (we took a nap together). I am busy, busy these days...

My first play date!

We went to go visit my friend, Oakley and her parents for the day. Oakley and I did a lot of the same stuff- we cried, slept and ate.....and cried, slept, and ate.....and cried, slept, and ate...my kind of play date.

First days at home

The first days at home were exciting. I love my room and my bouncy seat (I really don't care for my swing). I keep Mom up at night but she got used to it pretty quickly-I am a champion nurser. I spend most of my days sleeping but I also like it being read to and talked to when I am awake. My bath time is pretty cool too, I don't mind it at all.

I had a lot of visitors after I got home- cousin Sarina, Auntie Beth, Uncle Bryan, cousin Paige, Auntie Kate and of course my grandparents. I love a good party!

My birthday!

I arrived healthy and happy on Saturday January 3, 2009 at 11:34 pm. Mom and Dad did a good job- we started at 4:30am and stayed home most of the day. We didn't get to the hospital until 8:00 pm. Dad took real good care of Mom at home. It was an experience they will never forget and cherish forever.

Better late than never!

I finally got around to getting my own blog. My parents have some catch up work to do. Here is a picture of me with my mom and dad when I was six weeks old (I am 10 weeks old now). I don't look much different but I will let you decide after some more recent photos and videos are posted.
